What Are Counteracting Colours?

Counteracting Colours are colours that cancel each other out on the colour spectrum. This is very useful when making leather colourants, as mixing colours is the hardest part of the full leather restoration process and this system helps with colour mixing.

Counteracting Colours

If a colour has gone too red, add green to cancel the red. If it’s gone too green, then add red to cancel the green.

If a colour has gone too blue, add orange to cancel the blue. If it’s gone too orange, then add blue to cancel the orange

If a colour has gone too yellow, add violet to cancel the yellow. If it’s gone too violet, then add yellow to cancel the violet
