What Are Stains On Leather?

Stains on leather can happen for many reasons, but the most common reason why they happen is through lack of care and protection.

People can mistake colour loss on leather as stains as the surface can go darker with colour loss and to the untrained eye this can look like dirt or a stain. Cleaning of stains, when done correctly, can be achieved and most stains can be removed without damaged to the clear coating or the painted finish.

This diagram shows how best to remove stains and with the correct process to remove them.

This can be done on aniline leathers and pigmented leathers, the colour repair kit is for pigmented leathers only.
