What Are Handbag Linings?
Handbag linings are used to protect the inside of a handbag and come in many different material, most handbags are in fabric.
Some designer handbags don’t have linings like the Mulberry Bayswater handbags these bags are left raw hide showing the reverse of the leather hide.

Handbags get a lot of use and can become grubby and dirty from daily use, from makeup, drinks, lipsticks and more causing stains on the interior material.
Pen ink is a big problem with handbags, when pens leak, they normally soak through the lining into the reverse of the leather and this becomes apparent on the outside of the handbag when an ink stain appears. When this happens extracting all the ink from within the leather can be a task to carry out successfully.
Some designer brands use much finer materials to line the inside of handbags like pig skin and goat skin, this is done as it’s ultra-fine and very luxurious.
Cleaning the inside of handbags can be challenging depending on the material you are handling, fabrics are much easier to be cleaned, these can be cleaned with warm soapy water or a dedicated fabric cleaner to deep clean and remove oils and waxes from makeup.
