Jaguar Car Leather
Jaguar car leather is like the ultimate in luxury, using many different types, full grain, Aniline Leather, Pigmented and Nappa, as well as a host of other materials from Suede, Nubuck, Alcantara and Dinamica.
Jaguar was founded in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company, it wasn’t until 1945 that they became know as Jaguar Cars when they changed there name.
Jaguar began in 1922 as a company making motorcycle sidecars, they then began developing bodies for motorcars. Under its name S S Cars Limited, the company began to complete cars for the standard motor company.
Over the years Jaguar have been owned by a few different companies, in 1966 they merged with the British Motor Corporation, they then re named the company British Motor Holdings, then in 1968 it all changed again as it merged with British Leyland.
Then in 1984 it spun off, in 1990, Ford purchased Jaguar, then in 2000 Ford also purchased Land Rover, then in 2008 Ford sold both brands to Tata.
Tata formed a subsidiary company called Jaguar Land Rover, but it wasn’t until 2013 when Jaguar merged with Land Rover and they become known as Jaguar Land Rover Limited.
Jaguars were known for its full leather interiors a signature stamp of British quality using leather throughout the full interior, today most jaguar cars only have the front facings of the seats in leather the rest of them are all vinyl.
I wonder what the founder William Lyons would think of how Jaguar has changed over the years?
